Persona Studies
With a couple of review requests sent out, I’m officially in the chair as an editor for the open-access Persona Studies journal, looking after the general/rolling issue for 2025.
This is one of my favourite journals because the papers are honestly always delightful to read. I also published what I think is my coolest paper there, a study about how people collectively attributed personality to NASA’s Opportunity Rover.
Journal of Creative Practice
Faced with growing government, administrative, and social antagonism toward the arts, my colleagues in the Creative Practice Circle (based at Charles Sturt University) seek to highlight spaces and places where ideas, creativity, and care can flourish.
One of their big goals was to launch the new Journal of Creative Practice Research as a home for this work before the end 2024. And they did it – published just before Christmas, Issue 1 Crevice Communities is full of fascinating reflections on walking, weaving, filming, historicising, photographing and more.
I’m pleased to have played a small part in getting issue one over the line and supporting the journal as general/production editor going forward.
